About Us |

Course Mission To provide encouragement and opportunity for students to always do their best. To develop safe, competent, courteous, law abiding, happy, informed and responsible drivers. This course goes beyond the basic skills needed to get a driver’s license. Emphasis is placed upon the driver’s abilities, the vehicle, constant control, making good decisions and continual regulation of space and speed. The interaction and application between the driver, vehicle, and the driving environment will be constantly practiced, tested, and reviewed. |

Experienced Course Instructor Ron Bandy previously taught defensive driving for letter carriers with the United States Postal Service. He also taught driver education at Kirkwood Community College. Currently, Ron is a member of the Iowa Association of Safety Education, Motorcycle Safety Foundation, and a certified instructor with the Iowa Motorcycle Rider Education Program. He graduated from the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Academy to teach with the Rider’s Edge Program. Ron is an AARP driver safety instructor. |
